Building on the strengths of the original fp, the Sigma fp2 refines the compact full-frame camera concept with improvements across performance, imaging, and workflow flexibility. Designed to deliver high-level still photography and professional cinema capabilities in an exceptionally small, lightweight body, the fp2 offers a versatile solution for photographers, filmmakers, and hybrid creators who need maximum performance without the bulk of a traditional camera system.
Combining wide dynamic range with advanced subject-detection autofocus, the fp2 is designed to handle a broad range of photographic and video applications. With up to 14+ stops of dynamic range, it offers substantial latitude for capturing detail across highlights and shadows, providing greater flexibility for demanding shooting conditions and post-production workflows. Thirteen dedicated color modes inherited from the Sigma BF expand creative options, allowing users to explore different visual styles directly in camera.
Beyond still photography, the fp2 functions as a full-fledged cinema camera, with support for a wide range of recording formats, including ProRes RAW. Its 6K Open Gate capability provides additional flexibility for framing, reframing, and adapting footage to different delivery formats. Whether producing cinematic projects, commercial content, or everyday video, the fp2 is built to accommodate a variety of production requirements.
The fp2 retains the exceptionally portable form factor that distinguishes the fp series while adding a tilting rear LCD display for more flexible composition from high and low angles. Dual storage capabilities, including 70GB of internal memory, offer additional recording flexibility while supporting adaptable workflows in the field or on set.
Made entirely in Aizu, Japan, the Sigma fp2 brings together compact engineering, advanced imaging capabilities, and a hybrid design philosophy. By combining high-performance photography and cinema features in a remarkably portable full-frame body, it is designed for creators who want a camera that can adapt to both their shooting style and production needs.
