Pre-Owned - CPC 2x Auto/Manual Tele-Converter for Nikon AI mount

The CPC (Computerized Precision Color) 2X Tele-converter for Nikon AI mount is a vintage, third-party manual-focus photography accessory manufactured in Japan during the film era. It is designed to sit between a Nikon SLR/DSLR camera body and a manual focus Nikon AI (Aperture Indexing) lens.

Core Specifications & Performance

• Focal Length Multiplier: 2X magnification, which effectively doubles the focal length of whatever primary lens you attach to it (e.g., turning a 50mm lens into a 100mm lens, or a 135mm lens into a 270mm lens).

• Light Loss: Like all 2x teleconverters, it causes a 2-stop loss of light. An f/2.8 lens effectively becomes an f/5.6 lens when attached.

• Build Quality: Features a classic all-metal vintage construction with a textured rubber grip ring for easy mounting and removal.

• Optics: Features Multi-Coated (MC) glass elements to help reduce lens flare and ghosting.

Compatibility Considerations

• Nikon AI Mount: It is mechanically designed to pair with vintage manual-focus Nikon AI or AI-S lenses.
