Key Features
20.9MP DX Sensor and EXPEED 7
The Z50 II combines a 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor with Nikon's EXPEED 7 processor for detailed images, smooth color reproduction, reduced noise, and fast overall performance. Its ISO range of 100-51200 is expandable to ISO 204800 for low-light shooting, while continuous shooting speeds reach up to 30 fps.
Advanced Autofocus
Subject-detection technology inherited from Nikon's flagship Z9 uses deep-learning algorithms to recognize and track nine types of subjects, including people, animals, bicycles, and aircraft. Eye-Detection AF helps maintain precise focus on eyes, while a dedicated Bird Detection mode is available for wildlife photography.
NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7
The included 35mm f/1.7 is a compact standard prime designed specifically for DX-format Z cameras. Its 52.5mm-equivalent perspective is well suited to portraits, street photography, still life, and everyday shooting.
The bright f/1.7 aperture provides greater control over depth of field and helps in low-light conditions, while the 6.3" minimum focus distance allows for detailed close-ups with attractive background separation.
An internal focusing design keeps the lens at a consistent length during operation, and its STM stepping motor provides fast, precise, and quiet autofocus.
4K Video and Creator Features
The Z50 II records UHD 4K video at up to 60 fps and Full HD at up to 120 fps. Electronic Vibration Reduction, Product Review mode, a video self-timer, and recording times of up to two hours add flexibility for video creators.
The camera also supports internal 10-bit recording with Nikon's N-Log LUT, four RED LUTs, and UAC/UAV-compliant live streaming.
Compact Design and Connectivity
A 3.2" 180° flip-out touchscreen makes the Z50 II well suited to selfies, vlogging, and front-facing video. Its redesigned electronic viewfinder is twice as bright as its predecessor, while the built-in flash and hot shoe provide additional lighting options.
USB-C supports charging and USB power delivery, and microphone, headphone, and HDMI connections provide flexibility for video setups. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with SnapBridge enable wireless image transfers and remote camera control.
The Nikon Z50 II and NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7 combine a powerful DX-format camera with a bright, compact standard prime, creating an adaptable system for everyday photography, portraits, close-ups, and content creation.
