The LH582-01 Lens Hood for 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens from Sigma attaches to the front of the lens via its bayonet mount and is designed to block stray light from entering the lens and causing flare. It also protects the front element of the lens from accidental impact. The hood can be used as a spare or as a replacement for the original that came with the lens.
