Featuring a sophisticated design that employs an intuitive full-color OLED touchscreen, a native Bowens mount, and a bi-color LED modeling light, the FJ250 replaces the popular FJ200 unit with user-requested improvements, such as group indicator color lighting and the same convenient AC/DC battery system as the included FJ400 II and separately available FJ800. With total compatibility across the FJ wireless system, the FJ250 simplifies studio or location workflows so you can capture every moment with precision.

 

 

The FJ400 II is the brand's fastest 400Ws monolight. The second generation of the FJ400 recycles in 0.01-0.9 sec, ensuring speed and reliability while offering relevant upgrades. The FJ400 II brings improvements to its design with a 30W bi-color LED modeling light and a full-color OLED touchscreen for intuitive and uncomplicated onboard control. In addition to these upgrades, other settings are to be highlighted, including flash durations with a Freeze mode and a Creative Mask feature for better efficiency. Users will also benefit from flexible AC/DC power options with the included interchangeable FJ Pro battery that provides up to 550 full-power flashes per charge. The FJ400 II is a compact and rapid strobe lighting solution with little weight at 5.3 lb for great portability.

 

 

Both the FJ250 and FJ400 II strobes pack interesting features. In addition to basic manual and TTL flash modes, other handy settings are available, such as the Westcott Creative Mask feature, a great asset for high-volume and fast-paced shoots. This functionality gives photographers the ability to create up to six lighting combinations without moving the fixtures. Users can easily control when each light fires in a sequence to capture multiple dynamic looks from a single setup.

 

 

These strobes are part of Westcott's 2.4 GHz FJ wireless system, meaning they can work with all FJ triggers and flashes for a cohesive lighting ecosystem. Control your setup with the included FJ-X S trigger (Sony compatible), the optional FJ-T1 trigger, or the FJ80 speedlight. The Westcott StudioLink app also offers wireless adjustments and advanced functionality directly from your smartphone.

 

 

The wireless system prevents interference with other photographers and allows several individual setups with integrated 31-channel, 16-group, 2.4 GHz wireless radio frequency with a range of 328'.

 

 

Each strobe comes with a powerful, removable 29.6V, 74Wh, 2500mAh AC/DC lithium-ion battery that will give you 850 (FJ250) and 550 (FJ400 II) full and thousands of low-power flashes on a 1.5-hour charge. Each included FJ Pro battery has LED status indicators to keep you apprised of remaining power. Users can also decide to purchase the separately available FJ ProMax battery to achieve a higher number of full-power flashes. The shared battery compatibility eliminates the need for multiple power solutions, while a convenient AC trickle-charge functionality ensures uninterrupted performance during extended sessions.

 

 

• The FJ250 has a 12W LED modeling light with bi-color adjustability from 2700 to 6500K, which allows easy framing and composition for more professional results.
• The FJ400 II features an upgraded 30W LED modeling light with the same bi-color adjustability.

These monolights have a Bowens S front and come with a 5/8" tilting bracket to mount on separately available light stands, as well as 9mm umbrella receptacles. Also, USB-C ports are present for firmware updates using the included USB-C cables.

 

 

Separately available accessories across the FJ line system, including shared AC/DC batteries, chargers, and modifiers, are also compatible with the FJ250, FJ400 II, and FJ800, eliminating the need for multiple power and accessory solutions. The included strobes ship with magnetic 5.5" reflectors and a gel set (CTO, 1/2-CTO, window green, and diffusion). Inserts are also provided to allow the use of optional Westcott Rapid Box Switch modifiers. Finally, a backpack is supplied to facilitate storage and transportation. The backpack features convenient gear compartments, removable dividers, and padded straps.
