At less than 1 pound and under 11" folded, the iota 219 tripod can live in your camera bag and always be at the ready. It weighs just 14.9 ounces but can handle a load of up to 4.8 pounds!
The iota is designed with the minimalist in mind. This means extra-fast setup and adjustments. Just one knob is used to adjust the ball head. And a simple twist of the tripod's collar allows all 3 legs to change from full height to ground level in seconds. The leg locks can easily be grasped and unlocked with one hand, together, for quick extension. The iota's speed and simplicity frees your attention to focus on the creative aspects of your imagery.
An included arca-compatible quick release plate employs a special anti-twist material to ensure a secure union with your camera. This plate can be attached using the included 4mm hex wrench or with its integrated bail. It also has a nifty slot that works with a variety of straps to conveniently carry your camera.
All three of the iota's feet are removable and replaceable if you prefer a different type, such as spikes.
Superior materials and craftsmanship combine for many years of reliability. Each of the iota's leg tubes is constructed of 12x cross-patterned top-of-the-line carbon fiber. Aircraft grade T6106 T6 aluminum alloy is carefully machined to create each leg lock with incredible strength, minimal weight, and a beautiful finish. A blend of aircraft grade T6101 T6 and T6101 aluminum alloys are employed for the construction of the ball head and its controls. The design of each and every part found on the iota has been made with the utmost attention to detail, weight savings, strength, and beauty.
This kit includes a soft, zippered case to store and protect the iota. It is constructed of soft, durable materials that are meant to last for years to come.
