Pre-Owned - Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Nikon F

The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary is a highly popular, lightweight ultra-telephoto zoom lens designed primarily for wildlife, sports, and aviation photography. Built originally for full-frame DSLR systems like Canon EF and Nikon F mounts, it can also be adapted to mirrorless systems.

Key Specifications:

• Focal Length: 150–600mm (Equivalent to 225–900mm on APS-C crop sensors)

• Aperture: f/5 to f/6.3 max aperture (dropping down to f/6.3 near the 550–600mm end)

• Weight: 1,930g (or 1,830g without the removable tripod collar), making it optimized for handheld use compared to its heavier "Sports" counterpart

• Filter Size: 95mm

• Optical Stabilization (OS): Built-in system with Mode 1 for general/stationary subjects and Mode 2 for panning shots

Standout Features & Control Switches:

• Zoom Lock Mechanism: Features a Zoom Lock switch that can lock the barrel at any of its labeled focal lengths to prevent "lens creep" when carrying it vertically.

• Focus Limiter: A three-position switch allows you to limit the autofocus tracking distance (Full, 10m to infinity, or 2.8m to 10m), which significantly increases autofocus acquisition speed.

• Custom Modes: Offers C1 and C2 toggle positions. By connecting the lens to a computer via the Sigma USB Dock, you can fully customize autofocus speeds, stabilization behavior, and exact focus limiters.
