Description

Pre-Owned - Keystone 250 Dual 8 Film Editor Viewer

Item has been tested and is in proper working order.

The Keystone 250 Dual 8 Film Editor Viewer (often designated as Model K200/K250) is a vintage analog editing tool designed to handle both standard 8mm and Super 8 film. It features a built-in viewing screen, manual feed and take-up spindles, and a built-in film notcher or cutter.

Overview of the Keystone 250This editor allows home moviemakers to physically wind, inspect, cut, and splice their analog films. Because it is a "Dual" editor, you typically adjust the sprockets and gates to toggle between the smaller Regular 8mm format and the wider Super 8mm format.

Key Features & Components:

Viewing Screen: A frosted glass or plastic screen provides a magnified, illuminated view of your movie frame by frame as you crank the film.

Dual Sprockets: Removable or adjustable gears that feed the film through the gate at a controlled speed.

Splicer/Cutter: An integrated lever or press mechanism is typically attached to the base, which allows you to cleanly cut and splice (tape or cement) film strips together.

Focus & Framing Knobs: Allow you to adjust the clarity of the projected image on the screen and align the frames perfectly.
