Description

100 Day Warranty - Minolta Semi P with Chiyoko Promar SII 75mm F/3.5

Great condition. All functions of the camera have been tested and are working as expected including the shutter release, aperture settings, focusing, and all shutter speeds appear accurate. The camera body has minor wear such as small scratches, broken or missing leatherette covering, or tarnish that does not impact the functions of the camera. The bellows have no holes or significant damage, but the folds are poor in some areas. The lens is free of fungus, haze, and scratches. There is some minor dust in the lens which will not impact photos. Please see pictures for more details.

The Minolta Semi P is an incredibly compact medium format camera in 1951. It is small enough to fit in a small handbag or even a pants pocket. It has simple features that anyone can learn easily, while still capable of producing high quality and crisp images. Supposedly, the lens was produced by Asahi Kogaku, which later became Asahi Pentax. It is composed of three elements. The focal length of 75mm for standard 35mm or "full frame" film acts as about 47mm on 6 x 4.5cm medium format film. This makes it suitable for a wide variety of subjects such as portrait or even landscape. This camera requires standard 120 medium format film. It produces 16 exposures, each 6 x 4.5 cm in a vertical orientation.
