The Hasselblad Chimney Finder (officially called the Magnifying Hood) is a specialized, top-down viewfinder accessory designed for the modular Hasselblad 500C/M and other V-system cameras. It slides directly onto the top of the camera body in place of the standard waist-level finder (WLF).

Key Advantages Over a Waist-Level Finder:

Stray Light Exclusion: The fully enclosed, rigid structure completely shields the focusing screen from glare and ambient light, providing a significantly brighter image.

Built-in Diopter Adjustment: A rotating eyepiece allows you to adjust the focus of the magnifier to match your eyesight, making it possible to focus precisely without wearing glasses.

Full-Screen View: The large, oversized rubber eyepiece cup allows you to view the entire square focusing screen at once under 2.5x or 3x magnification (depending on the specific version).
