Description
Pre-Owned - 7artisans Photoelectric 7.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Nikon Z
Lens is in NRMT condition.
The 7artisans Photoelectric 7.5mm f/2.8 II Fisheye Lens for Nikon Z is an ultra-wide, fully manual prime lens designed specifically for APS-C (DX format) mirrorless cameras. It delivers a dramatic, distorted 190° diagonal angle of view, producing the classic, stylized "circular" perspective ideal for landscapes, action sports, astrophotography, and creative panoramas.
Key Technical Specifications:
Optical Formula: It features 11 elements in 9 groups. The updated Mark II optics utilize HOYA ED glass in the rear group to reduce chromatic aberration and a higher refractive index element in the front group to optimize image sharpness over the original version.
Aperture Design: A bright f/2.8 maximum aperture down to f/16, using a 7-blade diaphragm for smooth bokeh. The Mark II incorporates a de-clicked aperture ring, allowing videographers to make seamless exposure adjustments during filming.
Focusing: Purely manual focus with a minimum focusing distance of 5.9 inches (15 cm), enabling extreme close-ups with highly exaggerated backgrounds.
Build & Handling: It features a robust, all-metal aluminum body paired with an electroplated tungsten steel lens mount for durability. It weighs just 9.3 oz (265g) and comes with a built-in metal petal-shaped lens hood to mitigate flare and protect the bulbous front element.
Important Considerations for Nikon Z Users:
Crop Sensor Design: While it mounts perfectly onto full-frame Nikon Z cameras (like the Z5, Z6, or Z7), it is designed for APS-C coverage. If used on a full-frame camera, you will need to shoot in DX crop mode to avoid heavy black vignetting around the edges of the frame.
Camera Setup: Because there are no electronic contacts on the lens mount, your camera cannot communicate automatically with the lens. You must enable "Release Without Lens" in your Nikon custom settings menu to shoot, and exposure must be controlled manually or via aperture-priority mode.
