Halo light modifiers are built using umbrella frames. No need for speed rings, just use the umbrella receptacle on your strobe head. Easy opening and closing means easy set-up and takedown. Additionally, the Halo provides a 140° of light spread.
For direct diffusion, position the light facing the white diffuser panel. The light will have a bright center with a softer edge. The distance the light is to the diffuser panel will govern the brightness of the center of the light.
For indirect diffusion, mount the Halo with the light facing the back of the unit. In this position, the light bounces off the metalized interior and then through the diffuser panel. This allows a more uniform, softer light.
