The Portrait Flash Bracket - Quick Release from Kirk Enterprises keeps your flash unit high above your camera in either the horizontal or vertical position and will therefore create more flattering flash lighting and eliminate red-eye and heavy side shadows. A great tool for wedding and event photographers or anyone who is tired of that deer-in-the-headlight-look that flash photography often produces.
An included Quick Release Clamp, in conjunction with the separately sold L-Bracket and Camera Plate, securely attaches your camera to the bracket, but allows for easy and rapid removal and remounting. No need to unscrew the camera when removing it from the bracket.
New to the Kirk Portrait Flash Bracket is the swing arm locking button that makes adjusting the bracket for vertical shooting literally as easy as pushing a button. The swing arm can be locked into multiple positions which allows for quick off-center flash in both the horizontal and vertical positions. The swing arm also features a "glide-track" which can position the flash unit directly above the lens or to either side in the horizontal position. A screw knob locks your flash unit securely to the glide track. In addition, the telescoping side pole is adjustable from 7.5" to 11" (19 - 28 cm) for higher flash angles. Screw holes on the bottom of the bracket allow it to be placed on a tripod or monopod.
A soft padded handle offers added comfort and stability and includes, at the top of the handle, a 1/4"-20 threaded stud with locking ring for attaching a hot shoe and optional microphone.
Made in the U.S.A. from aluminum and stainless steel, the Kirk Portrait Flash Bracket is lightweight and durable and will greatly improve your flash photography. The bracket is compatible with any camera that has a tripod mount and flash sync terminal.
