Description

This Cokin Z-Pro Series Neutral Density Filter Kit contains three filters that can be used individually or in various combinations to improve the results of your photography. The included filters consist of a 100 x 100mm solid neutral density filter as well as two 100 x 150mm graduated neutral density filters.

The included solid neutral density filter is an ND filter with a 4x filter factor that provides a 2-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

Graduated neutral density filters can be used to prevent overexposure in specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The included graduated neutral density filters reduce the amount of light entering a lens by up to two and three stops respectively. Additionally, they feature a hard-edged line of transition between their dense and clear areas. A graduated neutral density filter with a hard-edged line of transition is useful for images which have defined horizon lines.

Together, these filters provide a versatile solution for various lighting conditions. To allow these filters to be placed in front of a lens, this kit contains a filter holder for rectangular filters that are 100mm wide and 1.6mm thick. Four Cokin Z-Pro Series lens adapter rings are provided to connect that filter holder to a lens that features 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, or 82mm front filter threads. Other lens adapter rings are separately-available for lenses with different-sized front filter threads. Each filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 1.6mm thick.

Z-Pro Series Filter Holder

The Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder is designed to accommodate multiple Cokin Z-Pro Series Filters in order to help create the shot you envision. It can hold up to two rectangular filters, or two rectangular filters and one round filter such as a rotating circular polarizer, for the Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holders.

Rectangular Cokin Z-Pro Series Filters are 100mm-wide and 1.6mm-thick. A Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring can be used to connect this filter holder to the front of a lens.

Z-Pro Series ND 0.6 Filter (2-Stop)

The Cokin Z-Pro Series ND 0.6 Filter is a neutral density filter providing a 2-stop exposure reduction. This 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

Cokin filters are constructed from optical resin and are notably light in weight, have a high resistance to shocks and drops, and provide optimum light transmission for high image quality. This filter measures 3.9 x 3.9" / 100 x 100mm and is compatible with the Cokin Z-Pro filter holder.

0.6 neutral density filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.

Providing a 2-stop exposure reduction, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

Neutral density filters do not affect the overall coloration of the image.

Filter measures 3.9 x 3.9" / 100 x 100mm and is compatible with the Cokin Z-Pro filter holder.

Z-Pro Series Hard-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 Filter (2-Stop)

This Cokin Z-Pro Series Hard-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 Filter is designed for use with a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder. It helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a hard-edged line of transition is useful for images which include defined horizon lines. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 2-stop reduction in light from entering a lens.

This filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 1.6mm thick.

Compatible with a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder
