On FUJIFILM X-Series cameras, its 400mm focal length provides a 600mm full-frame equivalent field of view, making it ideal for isolating subjects and filling the frame from a comfortable distance. Combined with a bright f/4.5 maximum aperture, powerful autofocus, and optical image stabilization, the lens is exceptionally well suited to handheld shooting in demanding outdoor environments.
Despite its impressive reach, the XF 400mm f/4.5 is designed to remain practical for extended handheld use. Weighing less than 3 lb and measuring just 9.4" long, it offers a highly portable alternative to larger super-telephoto lenses, making it equally at home along a sports sideline, on a wildlife outing, or on a mountain trail.
