Description

100-DAY WARRANTY Optics are clean with no haze or fungus, minor dust inside, lens collaps smoothly and aperture moves freely. no oil on aperture blades. caps and buble included. The Nippon Kogaku Micro-Nikkor 5cm f/3.5 Collapsible Lens in Leica M39 screw mount (LTM) is one of the rarest, most legendary lenses ever produced by Nikon. Introduced in 1956, it was Nikon's very first macro-capable lens and is an absolute holy grail for vintage rangefinder collectors. Many online sellers and listings mistakenly conflate this lens with the more common Nikkor-Q.C 5cm f/3.5. It is vital to note the differences:The Common Lens: The Nikkor-Q.C 5cm f/3.5 is a basic 4-element Tessar-type "kit lens" shipped frequently with Nicca rangefinder bodies. The Rare Holy Grail: The true Micro-Nikkor 5cm f/3.5 uses a highly advanced 5-element, 4-group apochromatic optical design. It was custom-engineered by Mr. Zenji Wakimoto to deliver unprecedented edge-to-edge resolving power for scientific copy work and close-up photography.⚙️ Key Specifications & FeaturesProduction Volume: Out of only about 1,500 total 5cm Micro-Nikkors built, experts estimate that only around 300 units were manufactured in the Leica M39 Screw Mount. The rest were made for Nikon S-mount.Physical Appearance: The M39 version features a distinct, heavy chrome collapsible barrel mated to a beautifully finished black enamel helical focusing mount.Unique Dual-Focus Mechanism: When extended normally, it couples to your rangefinder from infinity down to 3 feet. When unlatched and collapsed inward into its secondary close-focus tracking mode, the mechanical helicoid allows the lens to focus down to a macro range of 1.5 feet (uncoupled from the rangefinder, requiring a copy stand or ground glass focusing).Aperture Range: \(f/3.5\) to \(f/22\). Early versions feature the ".C" engraving to signify Nikon's premium anti-reflective multicoating.
