The SMC Takumar 200mm F/4 was produced from 1971 to 1975. It is constructed of 5 elements in 5 groups, with a 6 bladed aperture that produces a rounded hexagonal bokeh. The minimum focusing distance is 250cm. The Super Multi Coating on this lens improves contrast, color fidelity, flare resistance, and open aperture metering compared to the previous, non-SMC version. This lens is known to produce good quality images while remaining affordable because of the smaller aperture.
