Description
An infrared (IR) camera, also known as a thermal camera or thermal imager, is a device that detects infrared radiation (heat) emitted by objects and converts it into a visible, color-coded image called a thermogram. Unlike a traditional camera that relies on visible light, an IR camera can "see" in complete darkness, haze, and smoke because it visualizes temperature differences, or heat signatures, rather than light.
