The 50mm prime focal length is the closest representation of the perspective seen with the human eye and is a versatile lens well suited for portraiture, landscapes, travel, street photography and more. When paired with an APS-C sensor camera, the 35mm focal length equivalent is 75mm. The fast f/2 maximum aperture helps contribute to clearer pictures in low light situations and the Loxia 50mm features an engraved manual aperture ring that can be "de-clicked" for smooth and quiet operation especially useful when recording video. The aperture can be adjusted in 1/2 stop increments ranging from minimum f/2 to maximum f/22.Zeiss T Lenses possess anti-reflective coatings on the lens elements for excellent color reproduction, clarity and contrast.
