Designed in 2007 as a more affordable M-series lens for Leica's then-new digital M rangefinders, the Leica Summarit-M 90 mm F2.5 has a traditional spherical design and an 11-bladed circular aperture. On the M8 and M8.2 cameras that it was originally intended to be paired with, this lens offers an effective focal length of 117mm. It offers good performance in a relatively compact form factor.
