The Nikon PC Micro-Nikkor 85mm f/2.8D is a specialized manual-focus tilt/shift lens designed for photographers who need precise perspective and depth-of-field control. Its 85mm focal length and f/2.8 maximum aperture provide a natural perspective well suited to architectural, product, tabletop, and close-up photography, while the Micro-Nikkor designation enables detailed reproduction of nearby subjects. The lens features PC (Perspective Control) functionality with tilt and shift movements that can be used to correct converging lines in architectural images, control the plane of focus, and achieve creative perspective effects. Its precise mechanical controls make it particularly valuable for studio and architectural work where careful composition and perspective correction are essential, offering a distinctive combination of Nikon optical performance and specialized tilt/shift functionality.
