Description

Containing the necessary chemicals to make a fast-acting, high contrast black and white film developer, this Substitute for D-19 from Photographers' Formulary contains enough chemistry to make 1 gal / 3.8 l of working solution. Originally designed for use with x-ray materials, this solution is also ideally suited for developing aerial, technical, high resolution, spectroscopic, and high speed infrared films or plates. It is also suitable for processing general panchromatic films when high contrast, higher-than-average grain, and increased film speed is desired. It is a clean working, non-straining developer for use in tanks or trays.

Chemical Contents

The following chemicals are included in the kit, and should be added to water in order make a working solution:

  • 8g of metol
  • 360g of sodium sulfite
