The Rode Podcaster is a broadcast microphone with a USB port and a 3.5mm headphone output with volume control. It can be used to capture audio when paired with a Mac or Windows computer (sold separately) and provide a simple and efficient system for speech, podcasting, and voice over applications.
The Podcaster microphone is built with a headphone amplifier that allows users to plug headphones directly into the microphone, eliminating the need for external mixing consoles, headphone amplifiers, or external monitoring devices. Other features include the internal pop filter, which is designed to minimize plosives sounds that can overload the mic capsule and distort the audio output. In addition, the microphone includes a sturdy RM2 ring mount and a 10' USB cable.
The dynamic element provides a cardioid polar pattern, minimizing off-axis noise and feedback.
Built-in USB output connector provides a direct connection to Mac and Windows computers without any additional hardware.
