The 120mm f/5.6 TS-APO-Elmar-S ASPH. Lens from Leica is a telephoto tilt-shift lens that allows for control of perspective and control over the location of the focal plane. This is the first fully adjustable tilt-shift lens made for the Leica S medium format camera system. It is designed for still-life, product and architectural photography, in which controlled perspectives and maximum depth of field are required. A large image circle allows for the combination of tilting and shifting. Tilting the plane of focus allows focus to be placed at any chosen point within the image, therefore controlling depth of field without having to adjust the aperture. And parallel shifting enables precise control of converging or diverging vertical lines, especially important in architectural and product photography.
Tilt and shift are adjusted by four distinct rings on the lens barrel. One turn/push ring each for setting the tilt and shift direction and one each for setting the amount or degree of shift or tilt. Shift can be controlled up to 12mm in all directions and tilting of the plane of focus adjusted up to 8º. In addition, this is an apochromatically corrected lens which significantly reduces chromatic and spherical aberration and provides superior image quality. Aperture and distance are also controlled by specific rings on the lens barrel. An integrated lens hood prevents unwanted light from entering the lens and a tripod mounting plate with 1/4" and 3/8" bushing is supplied for accurate and secure positioning. Durable and precise construction bring with them accuracy and longevity. The 120mm focal length of this S-series medium format lens is equivalent to a 96mm focal length in the 35mm format and its minimum focusing distance is 37.4" (95 cm).

An apochromatically corrected lens with six lens elements in four groups and one aspherical surface provides consistent image quality.
The lens is supplied with a tripod mounting plate with 1/4" and 3/8" bushes, allowing the lens to be fixed securely in any position.
