The black Nikon D5200 Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm and 55-200mm Lenses combines this compact and versatile DSLR with two zoom lenses for comprehensive focal length coverage from wide-angle through telephoto perspectives. Also included in the kit is a 16GB SD memory card for image storage and transfer, the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter for wireless capabilities, the Nikon School 2-DVD tutorial and a DSLR travel case.
The D5200 features a 24.1MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 3 image processor to produce high quality imagery while delivering fast performance to all camera functions. The combination of these two technologies is a native sensitivity up to ISO 6400, which is then further expandable to ISO 25600. The processing speed of the EXPEED 3 also contributes to a fast continuous shooting rate of 5 fps.
A 39-point autofocus system enables the D5200 to acquire precise focus quickly across the image frame, and nine cross-type points are centrally located to give even more accurate focusing abilities to critical subject matter.
HD video recording is supported in multiple frame rates and formats up to full HD 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps. Manual exposure control is possible during recording through modifying the shutter speed or ISO settings and continuous auto focusing is also possible when working with the full-time servo AF mode. Audio can be recorded using the built-in stereo microphone or through the use of an optional external microphone, both of which can be manually controlled across 20 levels during recording.
Image playback and live view monitoring is possible with the 3.0" 921k-dot LCD monitor, which features tilt and swivel capabilities for better use at high or low angles. For eye-level viewing, a pentamirror optical viewfinder is built-in for viewing and composing scenes quickly and intuitively.
Included in this kit is the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II lens which is a compact standard zoom with the 35mm focal length equivalence of 27-82.5mm. It utilizes one aspherical lens element to reduce aberrations and the Silent Wave Motor AF system for smooth and quiet autofocus. Also included is the AF-S DX Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED lens which takes up where the 18-55mm leaves off for comprehensive telephoto zoom capabilities. Its 35mm equivalent focal length is 82-300mm and it too features the SWM AF motor for smooth and silent autofocus action, which is particularly useful when shooting video with the D5200.
The D5200 is compatible with the included WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter for wirelessly connecting your camera to an Android or iOS mobile device which enables instant image transfer to your smart device and remote control capabilities. A 16GB SD memory card is included and this kit also adds a DSLR Value Pack with Nikon School DVD. The pack features a camera bag which fits the D5200, along with a 2-3 lenses, Speedlight flash units and other accessories. It has a padded interior and is carried by a padded top handle or an adjustable shoulder strap. A 2-DVD tutorial rounds out the kit and promises "better pictures in 5 minutes" with your D5200.
